We’re out here until 4 a.m., skirting now the mouth of the Potomac and Point Lookout. Beautiful, clear, Milky-Way-filled skies and a direct headwind. Big ships are racing past us in the dark, their silhouettes just dots of lights in the blackness. We can see the faint glows of Washington and Salisbury or Ocean City just behind us as we crawl south to the ocean.
